BOOM!!!!!! Auburn Basketball lands JUCO Forward!

Franklin’s addition means Auburn now has 12 scholarship players for next season.

For weeks now, Auburn has been looking to add at least one more piece to its roster for next season. Mission accomplished on Friday afternoon.

The Tigers picked up a commitment from Javon Franklin, a 6’7”, 200 pound forward, out of Little Rock, Arkansas. He spent his first 2 years at Holmes Community College in Mississippi but missed almost all of last year with a broken bone in his leg, meaning he’ll actually have 3 years of eligibility at Auburn.

Franklin was high school teammates with incoming freshmen Allen Flanigan with both players hailing from Parkview High School in Little Rock. He is thought of as a great defender and a high flyer so perhaps he can be a guy to help fill the shoes left by both Chuma Okeke and Malik Dunbar respectively.

This continues to reinforce Auburn’s increased commitment to recruiting the state of Arkansas with Wes Flanigan’s influence playing a large role in that movement. Auburn continues to be in on some of the best players coming out of Arkansas in the 2020 recruiting cycle.

Franklin chose Auburn over Arkansas, Memphis, Oklahoma State, West Virginia and East Carolina.

Welcome to Auburn Javon and War Eagle!
