#ReturnOfTheTightEnd
One of the major priorities for this Auburn coaching staff in the 2019 class was to find some tight end help. Don’t laugh, it’s true. Auburn went hard after a number of top tight ends and were able to wrap that part of their class up fairly quickly. 3* Tyler Fromm was a big reason why.
The younger brother of UGA QB Jake Fromm, Tyler had a breakout year in 2017 as a hybrid WR/TE threat for Warner Robins. The Dawgs never seemed to make the young man a priority and his recruitment quickly turned into an Auburn-Florida battle. After his 4th trip to the Plains earlier this year, the Georgia native decided to pull the trigger and join the Tigers. Today he officially signed with Auburn.

The 6’5” 255 lb tight end has a wide catch radius and the ability to win jump balls in the redzone. He should give the Tigers another weapon to use inside the 20 yard line or over the middle in 3rd & long situations. He has a similar skillset to John Samuel Shenker and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him follow a similar career path by redshirting next year before becoming more involved in the gameplan in 2020.
