Today, we’re going to look back at both games of Auburn’s trip to Brooklyn for the Legends Classic. First up for the 5-0 Tigers was New Mexico.

The story of the first half of this game was Auburn’s defense as the Tigers forced 12 turnovers, and held the Lobos to just 24 1st half points.

A 16-0 Auburn run over a 6 minute stretch midway through the 1st half turned a 14-9 deficit into a 25-14 lead. Anfernee McLemore hit 2 3s during the run and Allen Flanigan finished the run with a breakaway slam.

Auburn led 35-24 at halftime and continued to roll in the 2nd half.

Auburn started the 2nd half on an 8-0 and never looked back, leading by as many as 31 points. Austin Wiley dominated in the paint during the 2nd half going 6-7 from the field while scoring all of his 14 points in the 2nd half. Wiley also had 13 rebounds in the contest.

Samir Doughty knocked down 5-3 pointers as #HeadBandSamir continued to torch opposing teams as he led Auburn with 19 points. Isaac Okoro didn’t disappoint in his first collegiate game in the bright lights finishing with 12 points and multiple dunks while playing phenomenal defense.

Anfernee McLemore had 10 points and his 2 3s were key in breaking this game open midway through the 1st half.

New Mexico finished the game with 24 turnovers as Auburn’s defense overwhelmed the Lobos all night long.

Here are the highlights!

Later today, we’ll look back the Championship game of the Legends Classic against Richmond.
