NCAA Basketball: Georgia at Auburn
John Reed-USA TODAY Sports

The Cavs just got themselves a good one! Plus, Chuma Okeke signs with the Orlando Magic, and both 2021 Auburn commits sign their Letters of Intent to play for Auburn next season!

What a week this has been for Auburn Basketball!

Before we get to the main portion of this article, let’s recap some other big things happening Auburn basketball related this week.

On Monday, Chuma Okeke signed his rookie deal with the Orlando Magic after missing all of last season with a Torn ACL.

Tuesday, Jabari Smith, Auburn’s highest hoops recruit in history signed with Auburn.

Earlier today, Oklahoma shooting guard Trey Alexander signed his National Letter of Intent to join Smith and all but likely complete the 2021 Recruiting Class for Auburn.

And tonight, after a nearly 5 month delay, Isaac Okoro has (finally) been drafted into the NBA!!

Okoro was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the 5th pick in the draft. It’s the first time ever that the Tigers have had 1st Round Picks in consecutive seasons, as Okeke was picked 16th by the Magic last year.

He is Auburn’s first Top 10 pick since 1988 when Chris Morris was drafted 4th by the New Jersey Nets. Isaac is now one of four all-time Top 10 draft picks joining Morris, Charles Barkley and Chuck Person.

You won’t have to wait long to see Okoro’s debut in the NBA as the season is expected to begin on December 22nd, just over a month from now.

Congratulations to Isaac, Chuma, Jabari and Trey! War Eagle!!!
