Alabama came into town confident as they had taken 2 out of 3 the previous season from Auburn but instead, got more than they bargained for.
And after a slow couple minutes out of the game, the dynamic duo in the backcourt led the charge as the 3-pointers started flying early and often.
Down 7-1 early, Jared Harper would get the crowd into the game knocking down a 3 and would score in the paint on his next possession. Bryce Brown would get his night started with a 3-point play on the next possession to tie the game at 9.
And then came the 3s:
One aspect that I need to point out from the game was the outstanding job Auburn did of keeping Donta Hall from getting the ball in the paint. Here Horace steals it, we go the other way and Chuma drills a 3 to give Auburn the lead for good. pic.twitter.com/xJPkcrxERB

Bryce Brown would hit one on the next possession and then Jared Harper from Harpersville:

The 3s were the start of a 16-2 run which were capped off by a 3 and then a fastbreak dunk from Anfernee McLemore.
Another fastbreak for Auburn here. Dunbar to McCormick to McLemore for the beautiful jam and Gus Malzahn’s face tells the entire story. pic.twitter.com/6ZMXyKrCP4

Alabama would come back with a 9-0 run after this point but it just set another run from Auburn.
With 6:36 left in the Auburn, the Tigers led 29-26 but a 19-2 run to close out the half would soon follow. And it wasn’t just a run of 3s but the Tigers forced turnovers and got the ball into the paint on the fastbreak, the run capped by a dunk from Bryce Brown courtesy of a lob from Jared Harper and the Tigers led by 20 at halftime, 48-28.
Just out here tryin’ to get that yaaaaaaaaaaaah.#WarEagle x #UnfinishedBusiness pic.twitter.com/gKosgpCacr

Alabama would try to get back into the game early in the 2nd half but the key play in the game was a 4-point play from Jared Harper as Alabama trailed by just 11 at that point (the closest they got the entire 2nd half) which made it 58-43 Auburn.
And then... take it away #ClassicMalik!!!
This is one incredible sequence!! Chuma gets it to McCormick who once again assists on a ferocious slam dunk by Malik Dunbar. This was Malik’s only basket Saturday but it’s 1 for the highlight reel. And then, for the presence of mind to get back and force another Alabama turnover pic.twitter.com/5xRLDzNMD7

And from Rod’s perspective (one of my all-time favorite Rod calls)
Tomorrow’s game on the countdown, and man I miss Rod. pic.twitter.com/kiKsvSKjae

To tell you all the truth, I have watched this clip no less than 2,000 times since it happened. The anticipation of the dunk and the unplanned simultaneous leaping of me and 2 of my friends in the front row knowing what was coming makes that my favorite dunk we saw from Malik while he was at Auburn.
Malik’s slame would make it 60-43 and Auburn would get the lead back over 20 with 3s from Danjel Purifoy and Bryce Brown.
And now it’s time for some Horace Spencer: Point GOD action...

It was all over but the crying at this point as the Tigers blew out Alabama for the 3rd consecutive year at Auburn Arena with a 21 point win. Auburn was 13-22 from 3 for the game.
Bryce Brown led the way shooting 5-7 from 3 and scoring 23 points. Jared Harper had 19 points on 3-6 shooting from 3. Anfernee McLemore had 10 points with 9 coming from Chuma Okeke.
Now that you haven’t had enough highlights, but one can never have enough highlights so here’s the full game highlights!
And I couldn’t end this without looping in one of my favorite postgame hype videos of all-time.
