Attack the Aggies! (Auburn at Texas A&M, Open Thread.)

An imposing venue awaits the Tigers this afternoon.

War Eagle, everybody! SEC football is back today, in full swing. This afternoon, the Auburn Tigers will take on the Texas A&M Aggies in College Station, Texas. This game is an important SEC Western Division matchup. While we can’t exactly say that the loser will be eliminated from the division race, it is best not to fall behind in the competition. The last time the SEC West was won with 2 or more league losses was 2007, when LSU was 6-2. Alabama had 1 league loss in 2011, 2013 and 2017, and missed going to the championship game.

This game will kick off around 2:30 PM, Central Time. The game will be televised on CBS television nationally. Those attending the game should expect partly cloudy skies, and temperatures in the low 90s. There is a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms, although it is very unlikely that the game will be totally rained out.

Since Auburn and Texas A&M began playing each other every year, the road team has usually had the advantage. Auburn has never lost at Kyle Field, but has a daunting task ahead to keep that streak going.

As always, feel free to join in and enjoy this thread. I will be operating remotely this afternoon, working off my trusty laptop. I’ll have the play by play, and I am looking forward to another great day of college football! War Eagle!
