A fantastic, air-conditioned venue waits the teams tonight.
War Eagle, everybody, and happy Labor Day weekend! College football is back today, in full swing. This evening, the Auburn Tigers will take on the Oregon Ducks in Arlington, Texas. This is the biggest national game of the weekend, in an early top 20 non-conference showdown.
This game will kick off around 6:30 PM, Central Time. It’s an afternoon kick for Duck fans on the West Coast. The game will be televised on ABC television, nationally. Weather should not be an issue in the closed, air-conditioned AT&TStadium, although the walk to the stadium from the parking area will be hot and humid, around 90 degrees near kickoff. There is a chance of a stray thunderstorm, but only a small chance.
This game should have national appeal, as folks tune in to see if the SEC will continue its winning ways against the rest of the country. The SEC has won 9 of the past 13 national championships, and the SEC has won over 60 percent of its bowl games during that span. This game is a great chance for both Oregon and Auburn to garner national attention.
