Boom! Auburn Lands 2020 3-Star Defensive Lineman Daniel Foster-Allen!

Auburn’s first junior day of the year proves fruitful.

Yesterday, Auburn welcomed a plethora of big time 2020 and 2021 talent to campus for its first Junior Day of the year. One of those visitors was 3* DE Daniel Foster-Allen out of Mobile, AL. Turns out, he had a pretty good visit as today he announced his intentions to sign with the Tigers.

Foster-Allen holds offers from not only Auburn but LSU and Mississippi State as well. He’s ranked as the 30th best player in the state by 247 Composite but he has a chance to be one of the biggest risers this fall.

Highlights

Scouting Report

Foster-Allen isn’t even close to his ceiling as a football player which is exciting. Listed at 6’4”, it’s clear he’s got the frame to put on 20-30 lbs without losing any explosiveness. His long arms allow him to not only easily stack and shed would be blockers but also makes him tough to throw over when he doesn’t get to the quarterback. He currently plays WAY too tall and will have to better learn how to utilize his strength at the next level but he’s got the toolset to develop into a very talented lineman for the Tigers one day.

The Class

It’s been a bit of a bumpy start for the 2020 class. At one point, Auburn had two of the top defensive lineman in the south committed in 4* Andy Boykin and 4* Quandarrius Robinson. Both have since reopened their recruitments though I think Auburn will remain clear contenders with both moving forward. So it’s nice to have some happy news to report for next year’s cycle. Foster-Allen joins interior run stuff 3* Damajhe Lewis as the two defensive line commits in this class. Don’t be surprised if this list grows by a few more names in the near future too.

War Eagle Daniel!
