Monday’s look around the Auburn corners of the web

Good morning, everyone! We are 47 days until kickoff at the moment, just under seven full weeks away. With the change from Walt to myself over the past several days, we’ve missed out on a few important things going on, namely...

FOOTBALL

...SEC Media Days!

If you’ve got ample time on this Monday, here’s Gus Malzahn’s full transcript from the podium on Thursday as the Tigers spent some time in Hoover, courtesy of AL.com.

Brandon Marcello over at 247 wrote a nifty little article as well on the X’s & O’s of Gus’ podium performances in his visits to Media Days.

Also last week, Auburn had a couple players named to the Maxwell Award watch list in Kam Pettway and Jarrett Stidham, but one of the Tigers’ Media Days stars had some of his teammates talk him up a bit. Hard not to give props to Legatron.

Speaking of Daniel Carlson, Phillip Marshall dove into his origin story, and charted his journey to Auburn.

SOFTBALL

All-everything former Auburn superstar Kasey Cooper has found a spot in National Pro Fastpitch! Cooper has been signed by the Scrap Yard Dawgs out of the Houston area, and immediately made her presence known with a walk-off RBI single barely 48 hours after signing with the team. She’s one of five former Tigers to play in NPF.
