News and notes from the Auburn corners of the Internet

BASKETBALL

Things went really well for the Tigers Friday, as they knocked off UConn AT UConn in overtime, 74-70. Sure, the Huskies were short-handed and not their usual selves, but that's still the type of game Auburn was never going to win a few years ago.

Want to watch some video of future Tigers and their highlights? Two of Auburn's commits had a pretty big weekend in some exhibition/tournament type things.

FOOTBALL

What would Christmas be without gifts? Auburn picked up a surprise gift yesterday with the commitment of Alec Jackson. He was always an Auburn lean, but I don't think anyone expected him to pull the trigger this early. I certainly didn't. When I made the comment about any commitments having to wait for an article if they committed on Christmas Day, I really didn't think someone was going to actually do it.

Austin Golson and the Tigers are ready for next Monday's game in New Orleans. They're ready to show what the Tigers can do against Oklahoma.

Auburn is going to need some replacements on the line next fall. There are two Princes (literally) who are making waves and may be just the guys to step up.

SECCountry.com is already looking ahead to next season and whether Stidham will start and if the Tigers should be better.
