Auburn and Rutgers both lost defensive backs to transfer on Tuesday. At Auburn, Tim Irvin announced on Twitter that he will leave after one season with the Tigers. Irvin played in 10 games for the Tigers last fall and at times was the team’s top nickel cornerback. Meanwhile at Rutgers, safety Davon Jacobs told the Asbury Park Press he will pursue a graduate transfer. The senior said he plans to graduate this summer. If he finishes his degree, Jacobs would be immediately eligible at another FBS school for the 2016 season.
