LOCKED ON AUBURN: Auburn’s best NFL prospect returns; Mob Boss as Chief of Staff?

NCAA Football: Louisiana State at Auburn
John Reed-USA TODAY Sports

On today’s Locked On Auburn, Zac Blackerby is joined by Charlie5, an active poster on The Bunker at Auburnsports.com. They guys discuss the news of Roger McCreary returning, other guys leaving, Auburn hiring a mob boss, and more.

The guys also talked about the running back situation at Auburn. It has gotten very interesting, especially when you dive into the possibilities regarding the DJ Williams transfer and why he did it when he did.

Blackerby: I am a little surprised with the running back situation. You keep your running backs coach and they are all still leaving. I think that is weird.

Charlie5: The D.J. Williams thing to me makes no sense. The timing of it makes no sense. He looks like he is going to go to Florida State. You would think that if he left Auburn he would be a little bit concerned about playing time with Tank but I mean, Bryan Harsin ran it 40 times a game at Boise State. Tank can’t handle 40 carries a game. He’s leaving that to go to a Florida State situation where they have two returning sophomore running backs, so two would-be juniors and a freshman running back that is averaging around 10 yards a carry. Is he getting closer to home? No. Sebring Florida is just as away from Tallahassee as Auburn so that is just a weird deal to me.
