College and Mag Pick ‘Em: How to Play and Week 6 Results

Earlier in the season, there was a request for us to open up the staff pick ‘em to the commentariat of College and Mag. Now that we’re at a half way point in the season, and with the bye week ahead of us, we’re going to do just that!

I’ll keep it simple - when Jack posts the weekly staff picks on Thursdays/Fridays, he’ll link the Google Sheet I’ve made for keeping track of scores predictions. There, you’ll be able to add your own score predictions. Feel free to leave them in the comments, too, but the official record will be the Google Sheet. Just don’t be a tool and mess with other people’s entries.

Points will be given three ways for each game - picking the correct winner straight up, picking the correct winner against the spread, and picking the over/under correctly. A bonus point will be given for any exact score predictions.

I think what we’re going to do going forward is have all of the commenters start at 0 points, and y’all will compete against each other, while the staff will continue on with the existing points accrued. We’ll still be able to compare commenters to staff on a week to week basis. I know we’ve had four commenters who have been submitting their picks for a few weeks already - I can continue to keep track of y’all’s separately, or start you off at 0 with everyone else. I’ll leave that up to y’all (DesertWeagle, Kotov, Donahue Stryder, and PDiB).

With all of that being said, here’s the results through Week 6! I’ll update it for Week 7 later this week, so that everyone can enter their picks once staff picks come out.
