We are down to 30 days until tip-off of Auburn Basketball! Today, we look at another great effort from K.T. Harrell. Auburn played 4 games against ranked SEC opponents and all 4 were losses by single digits. This game was the closest Auburn got to knocking off a Top 25 opponent in the 2014 season. This game was also Missouri’s first ever trip to Auburn as this was Missouri’s 2nd year in the SEC.

K.T. was 9-17 from the field, 3-9 from 3-point range and 6-9 from the free throw line. Harrell had 13 of his 27 points in the 1st half and both teams went back and forth with no team leading by more than 5 points. Missouri led 33-30 at halftime.

In the 2nd half, K.T. hit his 3rd 3 of the game which gave Auburn a 46-44 lead with 12:39 to go. Auburn’s biggest lead in the 2nd half was 3. Missouri’s biggest lead in the game was just 6 as the game was even throughout the entire 40 minutes. Auburn had a 1 point lead with under 2 minutes left, but Missouri’s Earnest Ross hit 4 free throws in the final 90 seconds that made the difference. Auburn had a chance to tie or win the game with 2.9 seconds left inbounding the ball on their side of the court but the inbounds pass was deflected and Auburn never got a shot off.
