Sweet 16 Begins Today – How to watch: Dates, Times, Network and Streaming

This is the week that March Madness really starts to bring in national attention. The Sweet 16 begins today with Gonzaga taking on Florida State in Anaheim, California. The SEC is represented by four teams: Kentucky, Tennessee, LSU and Auburn.

The Tigers play No.1 seed North Carolina in the Midwest Regional Friday in Kansas City, Missourri. Almost all pundits recognize Auburn (28-9) as the current hottest team in the NCAA Tournament. The Tigers have won 10 straight games, including an SEC Tournament title against Tennessee. But North Carolina is also pretty hot having won 15 of their last 17 games.

While Auburn is the underdog, many see the two teams as mirror images. They both like to play fast and shoot from transition. The difference may be Auburn’s ability to neutralize power forward Luke Maye. The big man owns the North Carolina record for rebounds (743) in consecutive seasons. He had 14 against Washington last week while scoring 20 points.
