Two Tigers Make SEC All-Freshman Team

It’s exactly who you’d think.

While Auburn got just two players on the All-SEC Team that was released earlier this week, they landed a couple more guys on the All-Freshman Team, and it just shows that the offensive future is exceptionally bright at Auburn.

Seth Williams finished his freshman season as the third-leading receiver on the team with 24 catches for 474 yards and 5 touchdowns (which led the Tigers in that category), but he also led the entire SEC in making big plays.

On the other side, JaTarvious Whitlow (or Boobee to you), was the Tigers’ leading rusher with 777 yards on 143 carries. He scored 4 touchdowns and averaged 5.4 yards per carry, which is honestly very impressive with the way the offensive line under-performed this season. Whitlow made a splash in the A-Day game back in the spring before becoming the feature back in Auburn’s offense this fall. He scored the game-winning touchdown against Washington in the opener, and despite some growing pains, was Auburn’s most reliable rusher.

Either way, the skill positions have talent to burn and the future is bright at Auburn on the offensive side of the ball. War Eagle!
