Stidham and Coe Named SEC Players of the Week

f3faiqcj797kpljygefgAuburn Quarterback Jarrett Stidham and Defensive Lineman Nick Coe both received SEC Players of the Week recognition Tuesday for their performance in the Tigers’ 49-10 victory over Mississippi State.

Stidham was named the Co-Offensive Player of The Week along with Georgia running back Nick Chubb. The Auburn quarterback completed over 80 per cent of his passes throwing for 264 yards and two touchdowns in Saturdays game.

Coe also shared the Freshman Player of The Week honor with a running back, Malik Davis of Florida. The Auburn defensive lineman had four quarterback hurries, a half-tackle for a loss and six solo tackles against the Bulldogs.

Tuesday’s announcement brings the total to three Tigers receiving the weekly honor. Marlon Davidson was named the SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week after the Missouri game.
