Link sAUsage: Never Skip Leg Day

September 29, 2017
Auburn plays Mississippi State tomorrow! Good fodder for the SEC home opener and for you all to head to Toomer’s Corner fat and happy after a win to get some good old-fashioned rolling done.
Gus Malzahn was on Tiger Talk last night to preview the game a bit, and so what did he say? Anything interesting?
One of the issues he addressed was how freshman quarterback Malik Willis would be used going forward. His redshirt’s gone now, and he looked pretty intriguing last weekend at Missouri, channeling his Nick Marshall a bit in running around at Faurot Field.
We likely won’t use him for anything real unless something happens to Jarrett Stidham, and we hopefully won’t see that, now that he and his guys seem to finally be getting on the same page.
And tomorrow, Stidham will be facing off against a defense led by a guy that we’ve seen at a couple of different stops. Todd Grantham runs Mississippi State’s defense, but Auburn’s got a guy who thinks like ole Todd does running its own defense.
On a lighter note, Daniel Carlson’s not just kicking 50-yard field goals during games, but in the good works category as well.
Finally today, we spread the evidence that our former coach does not, in fact, have true chicken legs. He does participate in leg day, like everyone should.
Not a whole lot of weight on there, but you do you, Gene. Get the trunks looking good.
War Eagle.
