Post-Practice Presser: Chip Lindsey Speaks

Sean White as well...

Auburn finished up practice on Wednesday and we got the privilege of hearing from offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey and recently dubbed second-string quarterback Sean White.

Obviously, there’s been a ton of talk about what’s next for Sean White. Gus Malzahn told us on Monday that White didn’t lose the job to Jarrett Stidham, but that Stidham was just that good. When Sean White tweeted that he was “All in!” later that day, you could see the type of Kodi Burns-esque team player attitude emerging from the Tigers’ former starter. It doesn’t seem ingenuine at all.

We’ve touched on it the last couple of days, but Auburn’s now got maybe the best quarterback situation in the SEC with essentially two starters at the position. That can’t be understated.

Offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey also met with the media, so let’s get his words to you all at once...

Quick observations from those nuggets — the offensive line is really promising, because it doesn’t seem like there’s a bad combination with any of those guys. Some of them already have starting experience at multiple positions, and the “new guys” in Dunn and Bell are upperclassmen with a ton of experience already.

And I’d love to get this guy on the field.

I wish he’d said more about the receivers, because that group’s got a chance to blow up in this offense with this quarterback throwing to them. You hate to be a sunshine pumper, but there don’t seem to be many weaknesses on this offense. The talent’s all there, it’s just got to come together the way we hope and expect that it will.
