News and notes from the Auburn corners of the Internet

SOFTBALL

It's hard to believe that Kasey Cooper is in her final postseason in an Auburn uniform. She's hoping to go out on top and finish strong.

FOOTBALL

Justin Ferguson took a look at who could fill the still open 2020 Power 5 opponent for the Tigers. I've done something similar the last two summers, but it looks like he beat me to it, this time.

I'm pretty sure the story of Greg Brown's road that led him to Auburn and that he'd like to stay at Auburn now has been told multiple times. AL.com is the one telling it now, so go ahead and go read it again if you'd like.

Good news! We know Kyle Davis is back on campus in Auburn after missing the spring to deal with "personal issues." We still don't know anything about what that might have been nor do we know if he has to do anything to work his way out of the doghouse (if he's even been in it) when he does return and starts taking part in practice this fall. Still, having him back is huge for Auburn's receiving corps.

Signee Markaviest "Big Cat" Bryant had a pretty bad hand injury last week, but it's not expected to set him back any when he gets to campus and practice begins.

According to one report, Auburn's football staff is one of the largest in the country and a fair bit bigger even than Alabama's. Read the article, though, and you'll see that there are some things that aren't counted.
