News and notes from the Auburn corners of the Internet
BASKETBALL
This Week In Auburn Basketball has quite a bit to cover after the last week's experiences of losing to Boston College, destroying Coastal Carolina, then struggling against Mercer. He also has a bit to say about this week's games with Oklahoma and UConn.
Speaking of which, hey, the Tigers won last night. They beat Oklahoma 74-70. Sure it was a short-handed Sooners team missing their leading scorer, but Auburn was playing without two players who were starters at the beginning of the season, too.
The ladies also won, yesterday. They played Drake down in New Orleans and after being down early managed to pull away late to win 85-80.
FOOTBALL
The seniors are leaving an impact on this Auburn team. They've had quite the ride with trips to the BCS title game, struggling seasons, and now into the Sugar Bowl. And if they were redshirted, then they've REALLY been through a lot.
Josh Holsey is one of those seniors who has had quite the ride. He's been through so much with the 2012 season, two major injuries, and more.
Ticket sales for the Sugar Bowl aren't quite what the bowl would like at this point. Auburn has almost sold its allotment to the Sugar Bowl. Oklahoma's sales are a bit weaker. Buy up those tickets, Tigers fans! I wish I could go to this one, but with it being a Monday night and having to be back at work with tasks due the next day, I can't make it.
What did former Tigers in the NFL do last week? Find out here! With just two weeks left in the NFL season, CAN SOMEONE PLEASE THROW AN INTERCEPTION TO KARLOS DANSBY!?!?!?
