Auburn Softball team advanced to the NCAA Regional Championship game today with a 6-1 win over South Carolina Upstate.

Emily Carosone hit a 2-run double to put the Tigers up in the second inning and the Tigers never looked back. However, good defense and great pitching were the difference in the game. Sophomore Kaylee Carlson went the distance in getting her 16th win of the season.

Now the Tigers (51-9) wait to find out their opponent. Auburn will have to win one out of two on Sunday to determine the champion. If they are successful, the Tigers will host a super regional next weekend.

Tomorrow’s game starts at 1:30 CT and will be broadcast by ESPN3.
