Betting Line: According to Draft Kings, Arkansas is a 3.5-point favorite, with the over/under set at 53 points.

Auburn gets to licks its wounds after the loss at home to Georgia, but they get to do it in a way that suggests that there are things to be hopeful about after the defeat.

The Tigers plainly don’t have the athletes to compete with the Georgias and Alabamas of the world at this point, but the coaches did a great job of putting everyone in mostly the right position. Auburn lost on one-on-one matchups, and execution errors, to go along with the overall talent gap that took over for Georgia in the second half.

Arkansas isn’t quite as talented, but they’re definitely well-coached. Sam Pittman has come in and whipped a formerly weak team into shape, and found the quarterback he wants to run his offense. The Piggy offensive line is more what we were used to seeing in the early to mid 2000s with a power element, and KJ Jefferson is a dynamic guy calling the signals.

Can Auburn show off the defense that we’ve seen against the run? Will Arkansas come in sluggish after the heartbreaker loss to Ole Miss? Will the dreaded morning kickoff time come back to bite the Hogs like it used to do oh so many times to Auburn? We’ll see.
