The Pride of Port Arthur, Texas!
Over the years, we’ve done different countdowns to kickoff (or tipoff). This year, we’re putting a twist on the classic “Best Auburn Player to Ever Wear Each Number” list. Football is all about lighting up the scoreboard in 2021, so let’s take a walk down memory lane and review the last time a player in each uniform number put up points.
#9 — Kam Martin
Game — Auburn vs. Mississippi State, September 28, 2019
For the second time in five days, we have a pile-on touchdown late in a rout over Mississippi State. This time it’s Port Arthur, Texas’s Kam Martin:
I’m really gonna miss the buck sweep.
#9 is still owned by Zakoby McClain. He has one pick-6 to his name. I’d rather not think to much about how close he was to one against Texas A&M last year. How about another? Perhaps in the Iron Bowl again?
