Ole Miss 72, Auburn 61

OXFORD, Miss. – Jaylin Williams scored a career-high 24 points on Wednesday night, but Auburn couldn't overcome another slow start and suffered a 72-61 road loss at Ole Miss.

Williams scored the first five points for the Tigers and had 16 in the first half, including four triples, but the rest of the team scored only 13 points in the first 20 minutes. Auburn went more than seven minutes without a field goal and trailed 43-29 at the break.

The Tigers battled back in the second half and cut the lead to single digits with five minutes left. Junior Jamal Johnson knocked down three 3-pointers and Williams connected with fellow sophomore Devan Cambridge on an alley-oop dunk during what was a 14-4 Auburn run.
