Tigers must avenge a home loss from 2 years ago.
War Eagle, everybody! This evening the the Auburn Tigers return to the field to take on the Tennessee Volunteers. Auburn hopes to gain likely bowl eligibility, and momentum headed into next week’s Iron Bowl in Tuscaloosa. Tennessee hopes to stop a 4 game losing streak, and derive some satisfaction from derailing Auburn’s season.
This game will kick off at 6:00 PM, Central Standard Time. The game will be nationally televised on ESPN. For the few attending this game, it should be a perfect evening for football, with clear skies and the temperature around 60 degreesF. There is no chance of rain. A half moon should be visible high above Jordan Hare Stadium, with Jupiter and Saturn to the southwest, and Mars to the southeast.
Auburn is expected to have as many as 10 players held out of this game due to the COVID virus, although head coach Gus Malzahn has yet to identify which players. I would say that as long as quarterback Bo Nix isn’t on the scratch list, Auburn is likely to win this game.
As always, feel free to join in and enjoy this thread. I’ll have sporadic commentary on various scores around the conference, and some delayed commentary during the game, as I will be operating under less than optimal conditions. I am looking forward to another great day of college football, and hopefully not too many trick or treaters during the 4th quarter! War Eagle, and let’s take out Tennessee!
