Ram the Razorbacks! (Auburn vs. Arkansas, Open Thread.)

Might be a soggy day at Jordan Hare Stadium.

War Eagle, everybody! This afternoon, we have a battle to escape the SEC western division cellar on tap. The Auburn Tigers will take on the Arkansas Razorbacks in Jordan Hare Stadium. This game is an important SEC Western Division matchup. Each of these two teams started the season with an impressive win, then fell apart in week two and lost. It is a game both teams need to win. The loser might not win another game this season.

This game will kick off around 3:00 PM, Central Time. The game will be televised on ESPN. Check your local listings. For the few attending the game, expect clouds, periods of rain and somewhat breezy conditions due to Hurricane Delta passing several hundred miles to the west. The dreaded “lightning delay” may well be in place for this one, as well. We can expect soggy temps in the 70s, as moist Gulf air is pulled northward into the stadium.

Auburn was thoroughly dominated at the point of attack last week, and looks to improve this week up front. The Tigers have lost at least 3 starters to injury thus far, and more are nicked up. Running back Shawn Shivers and cornerback Jaylin Simpson were lost during the Kentucky game, and all-star middle linebacker K. J. Britt had surgery on a thumb this week. As always in college football, next man up.

As always, feel free to join in and enjoy this thread. I should have full coverage facilities this week, with no issues. I’ll have the play by play as well as sporadic commentary on various scores around the conference. I am looking forward to another great day of college football! War Eagle!
