Auburn finished the Charleston Classic with a 2-1 record, claiming 3rd in the tournament.

After a tough loss to Temple, the Tigers were able to bounce back with a win over Hofstra to close their 3 games in the Charleston Classic.
Jared Harper hit a trio of 3-pointers in a high scoring 1st half for both teams. Auburn was 7-15 from 3 and shot 57% from the field in the 1st half and trailed 50-49 at half. That’s because Hofstra was 9-16 from 3-point range and shot 64% from the field in the 1st half.
Auburn’s defense turned it up a few notches in the 2nd half, holding the Pride to 28 2nd half points. They also benefitted from starting the 2nd half on an 18-0 run.
Hofstra went about 7 1⁄2 minutes into the 2nd half before finally scoring, committing 5 turnovers in the process. In the 18-0 run, Mustapha Heron and Desean Murray scored the half’s first 10 points, which were followed by 3s from Davion Mitchell and Bryce Brown. Heron’s bucket with 13:07 to go capped off the 18-0 surge with Auburn leading 67-50.
Hofstra could cut the lead to 7 on multiple occasions but could never get any closer.
Mustapha Heron led Auburn with 22 points, Bryce Brown scored 17, Jared Harper had 13 and Desean Murray scored 12 points.
