Through the last two and a half months, we Auburn fans have been through quite the journey that is an Auburn football season. We beat a top 10 team on the opening weekend, and things looked like they couldn’t get any better. And they certainly didn’t.
Yes, it’s been a disappointing season. That’s why I think it’s so important to find joy in other parts of the college football universe; when your rock (Auburn) falters, the thing you’ve invested way too much time and money into isn’t a complete loss. That might mean having a favorite non-power conference team, like UAB, or finding storylines in individual players that you can root for. Hopefully I’ve provided another avenue for finding fun in an otherwise mediocre Auburn season.
Despite all the different paths and strategies laid out for this survivor pool, the three remaining contestants have the same three teams to pick from in the final two weeks. In fact, of the 11 weeks completed, the three contestants have picked the same teams in seven of them.
The three remaining pickers are AU_Blue, AubieNova, and myself. We lost copper4eva last week, as his Auburn pick turned out, well, about as expected. Let’s look at the choices for this week.
