Extinguish the Flames! (Auburn vs. Liberty Open Thread)

First ever meeting with the Liberty Flames

     War Eagle, everybody! Today marks the 2018 home finale for the Auburn Tigers. Making a trek down I-85 to play the Tigers this afternoon are the Liberty Flames. For Auburn, this is hopefully a rest on the schedule, and the team can treat this like a glorified practice. For the Flames, this is a big payday and a chance to show off on national TV.

     This game is scheduled to kick off at 3:00 PM, Central Time. It will be televised by the SEC Network, possibly on the SEC Alternate channel. Failing that, it will be on ESPN+ for those with a decent streaming option.

     The weather should be great. It is expected to be sunny with a high in the mid-60’s F around kickoff. Temps will fall into the 50’s after sunset. There should be a waxing gibbous moon high above Jordan-Hare Stadium for this one. We will have our usual Trackemtigers.com Open Thread up and running for this one, and I’ll do my usual play by play.

     As always, feel free to join in and enjoy this thread. I will at the keyboard, armed with a warm mug of coffee, and hopefully a delectable sandwich! War Eagle! And, beat the Flames!
