Auburn vs. Arkansas will kick off in primetime

Auburn and Arkansas will kick off at either 6 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 22 in Jordan-Hare Stadium, the SEC announced Monday.

The game will air on either ESPN, ESPN2 or SEC Network. This year's matchup will mark the 28th meeting all-time between the two programs, and the first between friends Gus Malzahn and Chad Morris as head coaches.

Auburn leads the all-time series, 15-11-1, and has won four out of five since Malzahn took over the program in 2013. The Tigers have won each of the last two meetings by a combined score of 108-23 -- that includes a 52-20 win in Fayetteville, Ark., last season. Auburn won the last matchup at Jordan-Hare Stadium, 56-3, in 2016.

For Malzahn and Morris, it will be the first time the two have gone head-to-head as head coaches. The two former high school coaches previously faced each other as offensive coordinators in 2011, when Malzahn was as Auburn and Morris at Clemson.
