How to Watch Auburn vs LSU 2017 SEC Softball Tournament Live Online, Time, TV, and More

Tigers vs Tigers again.

Auburn will take on LSU this afternoon in the semi-finals of the SEC Softball Tournament this afternoon at 4:30 pm Central as they continue the quest for a 3rd straight SEC Tournament title. It will be a re-match of one of the first SEC series of the season in which Auburn won the first and third games for the series win in Auburn. Of course, LSU did also win the second game which was the first in a Sunday doubleheader when Saturday's game was postponed.

Auburn got to this point thanks to a 2-0 victory over Kentucky last night. It was a scoreless game going into the bottom of the 6th when Kendall Veach launched a 2-run bomb that was all the scoring Kaylee Carlson needed as she pitched a complete game shutout.

LSU defeated #7 Tennessee in their quarterfinal round 6-2 after falling behind 2-0. They won their first game Wednesday afternoon in large part due to a Sahvanna Jaquish grand slam which gave them a 6-5 win over Missouri. LSU's Allie Walljasper has pitched most of the first two games for the Tigers. With that, I'd say it's doubtful that she starts tonight against Auburn.

I suspect that Makayla Martin will take the mound for Auburn, tonight. Her pitching has really gotten a lot stronger over the last 2-3 series and pitching her tonight would save Kaylee Carlson for a potential championship game if Auburn wins, tonight. If Martin struggles, then we may see Carlson come in. Or, we could potentially see Ashlee Swindle get the start and Martin come on in relief if needed. Clint Myers has some options.

Auburn needs to get the offense going in this one early to take pressure off whichever pitcher does get the nod. Hopefully, Kendall Veach's home run last night is a sign that her bat is beginning to heat up.

The winner of this game will face the winner of Alabama and Ole Miss, who will play in the game before Auburn and LSU at 2:00 pm Central.
