War Eagle, everybody! Tonight, the Auburn Tigers will host the Texas A&M Aggies, in Jordan Hare Stadium. Auburn enters this contest at 1-1, having righted the ship last week with a blow-out win over Arkansas State, following a close home loss to Clemson. The Aggies are undefeated, having survived an overtime contest with UCLA, then the Aggies pounded Prairie View, 67-0, last week. This game kicks off at 6:00 Central Time, and will be televised on the ESPN.
Texas A&M has thus far showed a balanced, hurry-up spread offense. On defense, an attacking unit with NFL-caliber defensive ends has made life miserable for the Aggie opponents, this year. The real battle to watch in this game is on both lines of scrimmage. The defensive lines on both sides seem to have the upper hand, at least on paper.
Another fine football evening is in the offing, at Auburn. It will still be daylight at kickoff, and the temperature should be around 85 degrees. The mercury will fall into the mid-70s by the end of the game. There is only a slight chance of a shower, in the first half. Towards the end of the game, an almost full moon will rise above the south end zone.
As always, feel free to join in and enjoy this thread. I will not be available for this evening’s play by play, thanks to having to work. I hope to actually attend the LSU game next weekend, then I’ll be back in the saddle here again following that. War Eagle, and let’s beat the Aggies!
