Some of the state's NFL players had the option to play pro baseball

The MLB regular season starts on Sunday; the first offseason NFL team workouts start on Friday. No players have to choose between baseball and football this week, but many have made that decision in their athletic careers, including some NFL players with Alabama roots who were selected in the MLB draft. Then there's one player who didn't choose, but played both sports at the highest level.
