2016 Auburn Spring Game—4 p.m. ET, SEC Network
Despite some high hopes last season, the Auburn Tigers limped across the finish line with a 7-6 record that included an abysmal 2-6 record in the SEC. Hope springs eternal in college football, and what better way to get over last season's disappointment than with a little spring football?
The usually potent Gus Malzahn offense struggled last season, as one key cog in the offensive engine—the quarterback—was missing. The Tigers managed to finish the season ranked just 10th in the conference in total offense.
If the Tigers hope to reinvigorate an offense that was one of the nation's most efficient squads in previous years, finding a quarterback who can open up room for the Malzahn-loved running game with efficient passing will be crucial. We should see the next chapter of the quarterback battle Saturday, as Sean White, Jeremy Johnson and John Franklin III should all get their fair share of reps.
