Cam Newton was named The Associated Press' NFL Most Valuable Player for the 2015 season on Saturday night, leaving former Auburn players holding the MVP awards for the NFL and the American League at the same time as Newton joined Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson. That's the first time one college has had an MLB MVP and the NFL MVP at the same time. Newton also joined a list of 13 players with Alabama roots who have been named league MVPs in the three major U.S. sports.
