Desmonte Leonard was found guilty of capital murder in the 2012 shooting deaths of Ed Christian, Ladarious Phillips and Demario Pitts on Oct. 7, 2014. The jury recommended life in prison. Lee County Judge Jacob A. Walker will decide whether to follow the jury’s recommendation or sentence Leonard to death.
