D'haquille Williams chose future over dark past when he picked Auburn over LSU

Sticking with LSU, a one-hour drive from his home, and staying close to the violent atmosphere was not an option for the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College star, family friends say. Ten months after his arrival at Auburn, "Duke" Williams has made a new home and name for himself in the SEC.
