Injuries mar NFL preseason's Week 3 for former Auburn players

Carolina Panthers coach Ron Rivera wanted quarterback Cam Newton to play in Thursday night's preseason finale against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Newton is coming back from ankle surgery in March, missed most of the offseason workouts and sat out the first preseason game.
