Cam Newton draws inspiration from hospital visit with injured high school QB

Despite preparing for his second preseason appearance on Friday night and continuing twice-a-day treatments on his surgically repaired ankle, Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton found time this week to visit another QB in the hospital. The NFL quarterback said he had hoped to motivate Jaylend Ratliffe in his recovery when he went to see the injured teen. Instead, it was the former Auburn star who came away inspired.
