Auburn in the NFL - Week 4

It’s Cammy Cam.
The Panthers beat the Patriots 33-30 over the weekend, and everyone’s favorite quarterback found himself in the win.

Cam Newton leads our look at Auburn in the NFL this week, after his 22-29, 316 yard, 3 touchdown performance in Foxboro. Oh, he also ran for 44 yards and a touchdown, which became his 50th career rushing score. No other quarterback in the modern era has ever run for that many touchdowns. Cam stands alone.
Our best former Tiger from last week — Carl Lawson — didn’t have another three sack performance in the Bengals’ win over Cleveland, but he did make headlines as he lost a couple teeth in the process of chasing down Deshone Kizer.

He finished with two quarterback hits in the win. No sacks. Guess the tooth fairy doesn’t work that way.
Other than that, Ricardo Louis had a pretty solid game against Lawson and Cincinnati. Louis caught five balls for 64 yards, although his team was severely limited offensively.
The ageless wonder, Karlos Dansby, had five tackles and a pass deflection as Arizona beat San Francisco, but no other former Tigers really did much. Quan Bray got a ton of work on kickoff return duty as the Colts got drilled by the Seahawks — Bray returned five kicks for 83 yards overall. Cody Parkey didn’t enjoy the same success the Dolphins had a couple weeks ago either, as he got to touch the ball just once (on the second half kickoff), and Peyton Barber got just two carries for two yards as the Bucs beat the Giants.
Corey Grant did run twice for nine yards, but not much more as the Jags lost to the Jets, and CJ Uzomah got his first work of the year for the Bengals, catching one ball for eleven yards.
So, not much going on for Auburn alums in the league, but Cam Newton did provide the highlights that we’ve been looking for from him since the Super Bowl run.
