Game Preview and Open Thread - Auburn @ Missouri

What do Tigers dream of, when they take a little Tiger snooze?
It’s Auburn’s second road game of the season tonight, and it’s a first since the most recent expansion of the SEC! The Tigers play the Tigers (for the second of three times this season) and get to head out to CoMo for the first time in a conference matchup.
Auburn’s met Missouri only once since they joined the SEC back in 2012, and that came in the 2013 SEC Championship Game where Tre Mason ran for 304 yards and Auburn advanced to the BCS National Championship with a 59-42 win.
Tonight, we’ll see a couple teams in lower lots in life than they were four seasons ago. Missouri’s just 1-2 with Barry Odom at head coach and a defense that’s swiss cheesy at best. Meanwhile, the offense has been completely stifled in two straight losses to South Carolina and Purdue. I’d like to think that Auburn’s defense is a little better than those two teams’.
On the other side, Auburn seems to have at least gotten into a bit of a rhythm last weekend in the drudgery that was the Mercer win. We did literally nothing except throw short/intermediate passes and show off our new Moose Package (not as dirty as it sounds). Kam Pettway was the only tailback to carry the ball, but tonight we’ve been promised that Kerryon Johnson and Kam Martin will both play as well.
Jarrett Stidham had his best game as a Tiger last weekend, completing 32 passes in 37 tries for better than 300 yards, one of the most efficient days in SEC history. He completed 18 straight passes as well, showing that he made better decisions against the Bears than he did one week before at Clemson.
So, what will happen today? Auburn’s a 19-point favorite under the lights tonight. Can we hit that mark? We’ll see. War Eagle.
