Link sAUsage - More Scouting, Kick Times, Auburn in the NFL

July 26th, 2017

We’re 38 days to kickoff on the Plains, and we now know at what time that kickoff will be! Here’s your look around the Internet, Auburn-style.

Kickoff times for the first three games of the year have been finalized! We knew Clemson would be a nighttime affair on the road in Week 2, but thankfully we were blessed with a late kickoff for the opener against Georgia Southern as well, since it’s going to be mercifully hot.

Auburn will take on the Eagles at 6:30 PM CST on SEC Network in Week 1, kick off against Clemson on the road at 6:00 PM CST on ESPN in Week 2, and get their first bout with the sunlight back home in Week 3 as they play Mercer at 3:00 PM CST on the SEC Network Alternate channel.

Running down the line of Auburn’s opponents, al.com has continued it’s early scouting reports, here’s the book on LSU, which will be the second team in a row Auburn faces to begin October that made a coaching change from last year.

However, as we look way ahead to November, Auburn will meet Texas A&M after their bye week in the final game of a three-game road stretch. It’s a long way off, but there are still plenty of lessons to be learned from the loss in Jordan-Hare last year.

And finally, one of the most important cogs for Auburn last year was Carl Lawson, who was selected by Cincinnati in the 4th round of this year’s NFL Draft. NFL players are starting to report to training camp, and the the Bengals have put the focus on him as camp begins.

Happy Wednesday, War Eagle!
