News and notes from the Auburn corners of the Internet

BASKETBALL

Breathe easy, Auburn fans, it appears that the injury to Chuma Okeke is not very serious at all. He should even be well enough to take part in Auburn's trip to Italy in August.

It's been a while since Auburn has had a player chosen in the NBA Draft. Some early mock projections for next year have two Tigers hearing their names called in the first round.

FOOTBALL

We continue to hear about how Kerryon Johnson's role will be expanded for the Tigers in 2017. In the way things have gone over the last few seasons and preseason statements, I almost think that means he'll purely be a traditional running back.

The official site has a feature on Strength and Conditioning Coach Ryan Russell. I've seen plenty of players praising him on Twitter after that article came out, which is enough to show me how effective he is.

In really awesome news, Duke Williams caught a touchdown pass in his first CFL action Saturday night. He had four catches for over 100 yards, including the TD pass on a beautiful fade pass.
