Auburn gets 'bump' up from four-star offensive guard Trey Hill

The who's who of college football is pursuing Trey Hill.

The four-star offensive guard is considering Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee, Southern California, Florida, Florida State and Ohio State and the Tigers moved up his list following a trip to the Plains for Big Cat Weekend.

"It'll probably bump them up a little bit," said the 6-foot-3, 346-pound Hill, a native of Warner Robbins, Ga.

Hill was among several recruits who enjoyed the rap battle between Auburn offensive line coach Herb Hand and linebackers coach Travis Williams on Saturday.

"It was great," Hill said. "It was an old-school song that he was rapping."

Hill is attending the Rivals Five-Star Challenge next weekend and will visit several other schools before making his commitment.

Though he doesn't know when he'll announce a decision, Hill is planning to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl and graduate in December and enroll in January.

He and fellow Georgia native Kearis Jackson are close friends and have discussed attending the same school. Hill said Auburn, Georgia, FSU and Southern Cal are the four recruiting the pair the most, though Jackson's choice will ultimately not impact his own.

"We talked about it a couple of times but it just depends on what happens," Hill said. "It's not in stone."
