2017 NCAA Baseball Tournament: Auburn Heading To Tallahassee Regional As A 3 Seed.

Auburn will play the UCF Knights in their first game in Florida.

With conference tournaments ending throughout the nation last night, the 2017 NCAA Tournament became a little more concrete. Unfortunately, for a lot of bubble teams, there were upsets all around in those tournaments. At the end of the day, the automatic qualifiers and Regional sites were announced.

The good news for Auburn is that the Tigers were already a virtual lock. The question was where Auburn would end up. One projection had the Tigers as a 2 seed in Ft. Worth with TCU as a host.

Most projections, though, had Auburn going back to a very familiar - and completely unoriginal - location: Tallahassee. That, of course, is exactly what happened.

The Tallahassee Regional is paired with the Lubbock Regional, which is interesting. It's a tough road to get there, though, since the Tigers will have to beat UCF - who at one point was in the discussion to host a Regional - and the red-hot Seminoles who just won the ACC Tournament.

Here is the Lubbock Regional:

So, Auburn will play its first game against UCF Friday morning (Central time) at 11:00 am. The game will be on ESPN2.

Go get 'em, Tigers!
