News and notes from the Auburn corners of the Internet

BASEBALL

Well, how 'bout them Tigers! Auburn continues to roll through the SEC schedule with yet another series victory over yet another really good team. And they did it, again, without one of their ace pitchers available for the weekend. If Josh Anthony isn't the SEC Player of the Week, then the SEC is just stupid.

Just because: let's revisit the highlights of Friday night's blowout:

SOFTBALL

The ladies also won their series although they came up short of the sweep that they probably should have gotten against South Carolina. Kaylee Carlson pitched a lot of innings over the weekend, although the biggest thing for Auburn going forward may be the emergence of Ashlee Swindle who pitched in Makayla Martin's place Saturday afternoon.

The season has been a bit tougher than what we're used to, but the SEC is a very tough league and Auburn is still very much in the hunt for a national seed and hosting a Regional and Super Regional (should they make it that far).
