News and notes from the Auburn corners of the Internet

BASEBALL

It's going to be a busy weekend on the Plains with the Music and Miracles concert going on at the same time that the huge weekend series with Arkansas is happening. There have been some changes to parking for the baseball series you may want to check up on.

GOLF

An incoming Tiger was named to Team USA for the 2017 Toyota Junior Golf World Cup. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess Auburn is getting a good one.

SOFTBALL

SECCountry.com took a look at freshman Alyssa Rivera who has come on strong since SEC play began. They tab her as a future star. I'd argue that she's already there.

Kasey Cooper missed her first Auburn game in 135 matches last night after taking a ball to the face in warm-ups. Thankfully, Auburn didn't need her as they knocked off the Kennesaw State Owls 7-3.

FOOTBALL

Gus Malzahn will once again take part in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Challenge golf tournament. He and Al Del Greco will represent Auburn.

Darius Slayton is reminding a lot of people of former Tiger Sammie Coates. Slayton is definitely fast and can get down the field. He also - as much as I love Sammie Coates - appears to have better hands and be more consistent catching the ball, too.

The NFL Draft approaches! We published something last night about which Tigers are in this year's draft class and where they're projected to go, etc.
