Auburn Completes Its Road Trip

Auburn completed its eight game road trip on Tuesday with a 15-7 victory against Kennesaw State. The Tigers picked up five victories during the road stretch, as they now have their eyes set on their series against Arkansas at home this weekend.

At one point in last night’s game, the No. 10 Tigers held a 13-1 lead following a 12-run fourth inning which included a grand slam from Luke Jarvis.

Jarvis had quite the day, as he was a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate — his first career four-hit game — and drove in five runs, as well. The team as a whole managed to combine for 15 hits from 10 different Auburn batters.

Freshman pitcher Christian Camacho had a strong outing, allowing just one run on five hits in six innings of work.

Thankfully there was plenty of run support, because the Auburn bullpen struggled mightily. The Tigers were forced to use five different pitchers in the final three innings. Luckily the teams has all week to rest those arms before this weekend’s series.

Arkansas will be coming into Auburn ranked ninth in the country in what will be a huge series for both teams. Both teams are neck-and-neck at the top of the SEC West division rankings, as Arkansas holds a one game lead, but that can easily change this weekend with a series win for Auburn.

The first game of the three-game series will be played on Friday with first pitch at 6:00 p.m. CT.
