Auburn Basketball Guard T.J. Lang Announces Transfer

3J Lang is moving on from the Tigers.

TJ Lang was a part of Bruce Pearl's first signing class at Auburn. If I recall correctly, he was the only hold-over recruited by Tony Barbee. He looked to have a bright future in limited minutes his first season, showed signs of his great shooting ability in his sophomore season, but slumped a bit and slipped down the depth chart in his junior season when Auburn turned mainly to the talented freshmen on the team. He also struggled with injuries throughout his career.

Today, following his junior season, Lang announced his intention to transfer via Twitter.

When TJ's 3-point shooting was on, he was magnificent. Overall, though, it's not surprising that he has decided to move on from Auburn to finish his playing career. With the current roster situation, it is likely his time wasn't going to increase, and he will have a better chance to shine elsewhere. We wish him the best wherever he goes. He'll always be an Auburn Tiger and a part of the Family.

War Eagle and good luck, TJ.
